Engr. Adeniyi Majekodunmi

Engr. Adeniyi Majekodunmi is a highly proficient professional with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Port Harcourt, an MBA from the University of South Wales, UK, and a Certificate in General Management from Harvard Business School, USA. He has over two decades of experience across offshore, swamp, and onshore operations, which has enabled him to develop a diverse skill set, covering Production Operations, Asset Management, Design and Construction, Equipment Selection, Plant Operability, Facility Maintenance, Personnel Management, and Regulatory Stakeholder Management.

As the Field Superintendent for Umusadege Field Asset, Adeniyi achieved remarkable success in budget management, risk mitigation, strong leadership, crisis management, and regulatory compliance and contributed to a record-breaking production growth of 25,000bbls/d, which is an all-time high for a Marginal Field Operator.

Adeniyi served as the Commissioning Lead for the Midwestern Ultra-Modern Central Processing Facility, where he developed the Umusadege Operations Philosophy and Strategy, spearheaded Operations Readiness and Assurance, and significantly contributed to the growth of Umusadege field production.

Adeniyi worked as the OML-18 Asset Manager (Northern asset), where he oversaw three operated and one non-operated asset. He prioritized key performance indicators, cost-saving initiatives, and seamless collaboration, underscoring his dedication to optimizing operating costs while upholding safety and environmental standards.

As a COREN-registered Engineer, a member of The Nigeria Society of Engineers, a member of The Society of Petroleum Engineers International, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administration, and a Harvard Business School alumnus, Adeniyi’s professional journey culminated in his appointment as the Managing Director at Mart Umusadege Resources Nigeria Limited, following his previous role as the Head of Operations at Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited. Throughout his career, Adeniyi has consistently exhibited exceptional leadership abilities and an unwavering commitment to the sustainability of operations.
